Noam Chomsky Audio Conservatory

Welcome to The Noam Chomsky Audio Conservatory; a collection of audio speeches, interviews, etc., by the famous linguist and political activist/theorist, Noam Chomsky.

At present, I have not uploaded very much Chomsky audio after the year 2002. As time goes by, I hope to bring the Conservatory up to the present.

Most of the audio files in the collection are of the highest possible quality currently available. Most have been denoised, EQed, etc., for your listening pleasure. Often, however, the source audio was poor, due to low bit rate, over-aggressive digital noise reduction, poor initial recording, etc. If you know of a better copy of a Chomsky appearance, or have one that I've missed (prior to 2003), please email me at jherek1999@yahoo.com

Noam Chomsky gave this talk with Q&A on April 10th, 1989 at Georgetown University. Classic Chomsky. A major address with Q&A. The Q&A portion is particularly interesting. Portions of this talk and Q&A were used in the Chomsky Documentary "Manufacturing Consent." If you know the film well, it's interesting to hear what was edited out. Audio quality is fair to good.
